As United Methodists, we treasure the traditions and creative expressions of the Christians who came before us, without being constrained by those traditions. Our stained glass windows are an example of beautiful, sacred creativity of artists in the past. They were designed and purchased at great personal sacrifice by our church members of the 1970s and 1980s. Back in those days, the windows cost over $ 80,000 to create and install. People dug deep to honor and memorialize their loved ones with the purchase of each window. The church published a book about the windows and the meanings of the stories that they depict.
